Another round

Treatment number 4 is underway and all is well. After a longer than usual period of not feeling well after my last treatment, I have felt great this week. I usually treat on Tue, Wed and Thur. And by Thursday afternoon I am generally feeling pretty crummy. Exhaustion, nausea and generally crumminess (my wife tells me that I must be pregnant). Around Mon or Tue of the following week I start feeling normal again. It’s like knowing you are going to get a cold and feel like crap for a few days. But I have it easy compared to most who are here.

4 down, 8 to go. By my crazy Oklahoma math I’m 1/3 of the way there!

Getting da juice….

Treatment #3 is on the way and I’m hoping that all will go well this week as we are planning a trip to Dallas on Friday. I am a little concerned to be away from all of my Drs next week after treatment — but we are hoping all will go well :)

I have been feeling really good since my last treatment — but I think this is due partly to not getting the Oxaliplatin last time. I’m not so lucky this time, the Oxaliplatin is the bag with the lovely biohazard sticker on it in the picture there. Doesn’t that make one feel all warm and fuzzy?

The family is doing great and looking forward to our trip to Dallas this week. Paige has finally finished school after enduring the lovely extra snow days that get tacked onto the end of the year. <begin rant> Which, by the way, is a ridiculous waste of money. I understand that schools get funded by students attending “x” amount of days per year. However, when they tack on the snow days — they don’t change the normal schedule. Grades are still due on the same day, which means that nothing acadimically is accomplished during the make up snow days other than movies, games, etc. So the state is just paying to keep the lights on, etc for no real reason. ?? Tax dollars hard at work.</ end rant>

I’ve been posting random shots on my flickr page, so get your browse on when you get a chance. Also check out Scott’s new Nascar news blog (as in Scott Springfield). It’s good for the soul.

9 more treatments after this one!
